Jason Collette pulls a writing double-header as he writes for both Baseball Prospectus and Rotowire. Prior to joining those groups, he wrote for Fanball/RotoJunkie and still maintains an active community at RJBullpen.com and writes for a Rays fan blog at TheProcessReport.net. His early fantasy experience was participating in Sim leagues in the 1980′s that were powered by Earl Weaver Baseball on his IBM PC which he maintains is still the best SIM game ever made. He started playing traditional fantasy leagues in 1995 in both mixed and only league formats but prefers the challenges of single leagues and particularly enjoys dynasty leagues.
Jason’s work can be found weekly at both BaseballProspectus and Rotowire and can also be heard on the SiriusXMFantasy channel throughout the year on their shows. Additionally, he and co-host Paul Sporer run the Towers of Power Fantasy Hour or Two podcast that is one of the most popular fantasy baseball podcasts on the iTunes network.
Jason holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Technology, both from the University of Central Florida. He works as a Implementation Manager in the Educational Technology arena ensuring schools have a successful experience with his company’s technology products. His baseball allegiances lie with the Rays and he believes in Designated Hitter, the change-up, field turf, and indoor baseball. When not working, he enjoys cooking, attending UCF sporting events home and abroad, and family excursions. Jason and his wife of ten years, Sarah, are the parents of a 7 year old son and a 5 year old daughter.
